Department Details

The History Department of our college started its journey with the college itself in 1968. Then the department used to offer only general courses. From 1996 the department started Honours course also.

We have five faculty members including one Associate Professor, one Assistant Professor and three State Aided College Teachers (SACT). Our students are very much involved in departmental activities like Wall Magazines, Fresher's Welcome, Teacher's Day Celebration etc.

The Department also recognises the need for overall development of the students. Therefore it organises on regular basis Educational Tours, Film Shows, Student's Seminar etc. Most of our alumni also keep contact with the department. Most of them excel in various fields including teaching, administrative jobs, management and more. The History Department is proud of them.
